Herford, Oregon Edward Duwayne Sullivan, 80, died on Oct. 23, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center surrounded by his family. There will be no funeral. Disposition of his ashes will be later on the family’s property. Duwayne was born to Edward and Myrtle Valentine Sullivan on Sept. 3, 1924, at his grandparents’ home in Baker City. He was raised on the family ranch at Hereford. Duwayne was a 1942 graduate of Hereford Union High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the latter part of World War II in the Pacific Theater. La Grande, Oregon M. LaVelle Givens, 80, of La Grande and formerly of Baker City, died Oct. 25 in La Grande. At her request there will be no public services. Baker City, Oregon Albert Smith, 85, of Baker City, died Feb. 13, 2004, at the Boise Veterans Hospital.
