Rutledge, Mary Palmer – Obituary

Mary M. Palmer Rutledge, 86, widow of the late S. C. Rutledge, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. A. W. Welch, 410 Island Home, yesterday afternoon at 12:45 o’clock. Mrs. Rutledge was born in Hawkins County, Tennessee, November 23, 1839. She was converted and became a member of the Baptist Church at the age of 13 and lived a consistent life for 72 years. Rutledge, John – Obituary

Funeral services for John M. Rutledge, who died Saturday [October 30, 1937] at his home, 539 Farragut Avenue, will be at 2 p.m. today at Lincoln Park Baptist church, with the Rev. A. R. Pedigo officiating. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers: J. W. Carr, Plumer Mynatt, Jim Anderson, Frank Wallace, Horace Sherrod, and P. A. Walker. Contributed by: Shelli Steedman
