Among his distinguished ancestors were Oliver Ellsworth, the third chief justice of the supreme court of the United States; Mary Lyon, founder of Mount Holyoke Seminary, and Mary Franklin, a sister of Benjamin Franklin. Baker City, Baker County, Oregon Sue Hanson, 66, of Baker City died June 14, 2005, at Ashley Manor after a five-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
