Enterprise, Oregon Wayne Clark died of natural causes at a care facility in Star, Idaho, on May 31, 2006. He was 96. Mr. Clark was born on Sept. 23, 1909 on a homestead ranch in Hill City, Idaho, to Frank and Viola Clark. He was one of seven children. He went to high school in Carey, Idaho, after the Clark family moved to a ranch outside of Picabo, Idaho. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Gail Richard Wright, of Enterprise, passed away at his home, September 2, 1984. Mr. Wright was the son of Carol and Zelma M. Wright, born Nov. 15, 1915. He was a ranch hand, sheepherder and packer by trade, and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and B.P.O.E. In his lifetime, Wright packed for the Geodetic survey in Oregon and Idaho, and herded sheep for Bud Wilson, Kenneth Johnson, Bud Harshfield, Bill Beaudoin, and Doria Audit. Frances Lucille Brown, 87, died on June 18, surrounded by family at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Portland. She was born on July 14, 1917, in Lewellen, Nebraska. She was part of a large family and had nine brothers and sisters. After meeting and marrying Gerald Brown, she moved to Enterprise in 1947 where her husband founded Wallowa Valley Dairy.
