Biography of Jesse L. Conant, M. D.
Dr. Jesse Lyman Conant, born on May 31, 1831, in New York, emerged as a prominent physician and druggist in Genesee, Idaho. A graduate of Rush Medical College, he practiced medicine successfully across several states, including Michigan and Nebraska. In Genesee, he established a thriving drug store with his son. Married to Julia Rock, they had three children. A committed Republican, he served as mayor of Genesee after being urged to run.
