John Evans Passes In Western Oregon John Evans, who for 20 years lived in the Lewis district, died at Marshfield Sunday afternoon, April 24, 1938. He and his wife moved there in the fall of 1934, going to a low altitude on account of Mrs. Evans’ health. Mr. Evans was taken ill more than a year ago, and improved, and then developed a new malady which his physicians believed was cancerous.
