Ormsby, George William – Obituary

Services for George W. Ormsby, 85, formerly of Nampa, who died Tuesday, June 10 [1986], in Olympia, Wash., will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Fissel Chapel of the Brown Mortuary Service, Chehalis, Wash. Burial will follow at the Claquato Cemetery, Chehalis. Mr. Ormsby was born Sept. 30, 1900, at Sams Springs, Iowa. He married Edith Roberts Oct. 8, 1924, in Mountain Home. They moved to Nampa, where he worked for the Pacific Fruit Express, retiring after 20 years service in 1945. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers in Idaho. A resident of Kent for the past four years, Edith Pearl Ormsby, died at the Franciscan Health Care Center, Enumclaw, on Thursday, August 11 [1994]. She was 90. Born July 28, 1904 at Pine, Idaho, to Llewellyn and Cordelia (Warner) Roberts, she was reared and attended schools there. She also met her husband, George William Ormsby there and married him October 8, 1924 at Mountain Home, Idaho. They lived in Nampa, Idaho, where they had a dairy ranch. Elsberry, Keith – Obituary

Lostine, Wallowa County, Oregon Keith Elsberry, six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Elsberry, died at Parma, Idaho, Wednesday, July 10, of spotted fever. He was a grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hedges, former residents of Lostine. The Elsberry family had been camping in the woods near Parma, when the child was bitten by the tick. He did not respond to medical treatment. Funeral services were held Friday, July 12, at Parma.

Gasset, William B. – Obituary

Funeral services were held at Union Dec. 11 at 10 o’clock for William B. Gasset, aged 56, who passed away at Nampa, Ida., Dec. 6. He was buried in the family plot at Lower Cove. Pneumonia was the cause of his death. He had been a resident of Cove and Union until the past few years. He is survived by a widow and two daughters besides numerous other relatives.
