Chambers, Archie B. – Obituary

Archie B. Chambers, 81, died this morning at St. Charles Memorial Hospital. He had been a Bend resident eight months, coming here from Fall City. He made his home at 133 1/2 Broadway Avenue. Mr. Chambers was a native of Dayton, Oregon. He is survived by a cousin, Mrs. Retta L. Montney of Fall City. The funeral is tentatively scheduled for Dallas, at a time to be announced later. Baker City, Oregon Wilbur Wayne Neff, 72, of Baker City, a former longtime Bend resident, died Jan. 7, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Health Services. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church, 2407 Seventh St. Pastor Nathaniel Neff will officiate. Enterprise, Oregon Barbara V. Lockwood, a resident of Redmond, Oregon, died March 25, 2007, of heart failure. She was 63. Mrs. Lockwood was born March 5, 1944, in Enterprise to Alonzo A. and Versie Puderbaugh Lockwood. She attended school in Joseph through her junior year when the family moved to Kennewick, Wash. She was born Sept. 30,1912, to John and Barbara Kline in Vancouver, Wash. She married Verne A. Allen May 31, 1941. They moved to La Grande in September 1960. Donna May Hickerson was born on July 13, 1934, at Bend to Ira and Evelyn Crowley Pontius. She was raised at Mount Vernon. Donna married Bill Hickerson in 1950; they divorced in 1962. Margaret was born at Pleasant Valley on Aug. 19, 1913, to Otto and Velma Lammert. She later married James Milford at Seattle, Wash. She owned and operated the Coffee Cup restaurant for a while.
