Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Margaret “Margy” Fisher, Enterprise, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 1988 at Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston, Wash. She was born Margaret Ruth Reece, Dec. 26, 1923, to Lacy and Ruth Reece in Enterprise. A lifelong resident of Enterprise, on May 2, 1945 she married James W. Fisher in Enterprise. She was a homemaker and retail sales clerk for many years and loved sewing and home crafting for her family. William Wallace Spaulding was born at Chalmsford, Massachusetts, near the city of Lowell, in 1839. He is of English descent, his ancestors having emigrated from England and settled in Chalmsford several generations ago. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Stella May Hammack, 96, of Pendleton, died Jan. 13, 2003. She was born March 08, 1906, in Cold Springs to Augustus and Eliza Thompson Stumbaugh. Mrs. Hammack grew up in the Asotin and Imnaha areas. She and her mother often acted as house sitters for homesteaders along the Snake River and as a teenager she worked as a cook in sheep camps and on cattle ranches.
