Hdqrs. Co., 119th Inf., 30th Div. Born in Cabarrus County. Entered the service June 5, 1917, at Concord, N.C. Was sent to Camp Sevier, S. C. Sailed for France May 8, 1918. Fought at Ypres, Voormizelle, Somme. Returned to the USA April 2, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Jackson, S. C., April 7, 1919.
