Entered the service at Littleton, N.C., Sept. 19, 1917, and sent to Camp Jackson, S. C., and transferred to Camp Sevier, S. C., and then to Camp Mills, L. I. Sailed for France June 4, 1918. Fought at Ypres, Bellicourt, St. Quentin, Hindenburg Line. Citation for Honorable mention at Ypres. Mustered out of the service at Camp Jackson, S. C., April 7, 1919.
