Bilyeu, Peter R. – Obituary

At his home in Scio, Oregon, October 18, 1901, with cancer of the throat, Peter Bilyeu, aged 64 years, 2 months and 21 days. Mr. Bilyeu had been sick about two years and he bore his sufferings without complaining. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Brenner on November 17, 1859 to them were born five children: Mrs. Nancy Morrow, Mrs. Laura Paul, Jeff Bilyeu, Evert Bilyeu, and Brenner Bilyeu all who survive him. Mrs. Rupert A. Bilyeu and infant babe died at The Dalles hospital Friday morning [January 13, 1911 for Nettie and January 11 for baby]. She was a native of the city, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Edmunson, in her eighteenth year. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. D. Mrs. Nancy Ellen Bilyeu, 64, died here Sunday [February 18, 1945] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ima Woodard. Funeral services are to be held in the Weddle Chapel here at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Mrs. Mary Jane Gumm died at her home here Friday [May 1, 1914] . She was born in Appanoose County, Iowa, November 9, 1852. She lived there until 1865 and then came to Oregon with her parents. Joseph A. Bilyeu, 94, at 3730 Auburn Road NE, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born and raised in Scio. He lived in Western Washington for many years, later worked in Portland shipyards and lived in Lincoln City 10 years before coming to Salem. He was a mail carrier and dairyman in Washington. Bilyeu, George Franklin – Obituary

At the residence of his parents, in Scio, on Saturday, December 13, 1890, George Franklin Bilyeu, aged 30 years. The immediate cause of his death was hemorrhage of the lungs, but the real cause was being thrown from a wagon loaded with lumber, a portion of which fell upon him, 13 years ago, causing injury from which he never recovered.
