Mrs. Felix G. (Alice) Prater, 87, died Sept. 23 [1970] in a Seattle nursing home. Mrs. Felix lived for 60 years in the Ellensburg-Thorp area and in 1953 retired as a housemother at Central Washington College and moved to Burien. She lived in Des Moines, Wash., the past two years. Survivors include a son, Dorsey Prater of Burien; a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Gertrude) Kelley of Mt. Vernon; a grandson, Dr. Timothy Kelly of Corvallis, Ore., and two great grandsons. Jess C. Prater, 90, died Friday [February 28, 1975] at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. A native son of pioneer parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Prater, he was born Dec. 24, 1884 on his parents’ farm on the Westside. A farmer all his life, he ranched on the Hanson Road for many years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Noble Prater. The celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 14. Lester Jay Wyatt, 27, teacher and head basketball coach of Hanford High School, died Tuesday [November 1, 1982] at his home in Richland. He was born in Ellensburg on Dec. 31, 1954, the only son of Marvin and Kathryn Wyatt of Ellensburg. Ezra [obit says Ed], 83, well-known retired Ellensburg contractor, died at a local hospital Monday [January 6, 1941], following a lengthy illness. A resident of Ellensburg for 37 years, he was widely known throughout this section. For many years he contracted excavation work and house moving here. He is survived by two sons, Jess of Ellensburg and Harry of Malden, Washington, and a daughter, Mrs. Stella McDevitt of Spokane. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Ward Alva Yocom, 80, died Wednesday [October 27, 1982] in a Reno hospital. A native of Ellensburg, Wash., he was born June 28, 1902. He served in the Army during World War II. From 1951 to 1964, he lived in Port Orchard, Wash., with his family. He was an electrician for I.B.E.W. in Seattle, Wash., traveling extensively throughout the U.S. In 1964 he moved to Reno, though he continued to travel. Mrs. J. W. Robertson departed this life May 1, 1903, aged 23 years, 11 months, and 19 days. Huss, Dorcas Jane Graham – Obituary

The death of Mrs. Harvey Huss, aged 77 years, occurred Wednesday morning at the home of her son, F. Huss, caused by bronchial pneumonia. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. Dorcas was the daughter of William Graham and Catharine Pruitt. She married Elisha Harvey Huss in Missouri on April 3, 1863. Dorcas died February 11, 1925. She was buried in the IOOF Cemetery. Mr. Sorenson was born near Aarhus, Denmark, on April 7, 1872, and came to Minnesota in 1888 where he joined his brother, the late Soren Sorenson. They came together to the Kittitas Valley in the fall of that year.
