Ida Amelia Bates [Allender] was born in Lahaston, Germany, April 12, 1846. Departed this life at the home of her daughter Mrs. Homer Zingg, March 27, 1914, aged 67 years, 11 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to John Wesley Allender, Apr. 27, 1865, the husband having departed this life September 14, 1906. To this union were born four children, three sons and one daughter. Allender, George – Obituary

Largely attended funeral services were held Friday for the late George Allender, who passed away at the home of his son, Lawrence, north of Lockridge, on November 13. At ten-thirty a short service was held at the house. Pastor Frank Weston of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, read the scriptures and spoke from Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Pastor J. A. Cochrane of the Lockridge Baptist Church made a prayer. Alderman, Charlotte Ruth Odell – Obituary

Mrs. Charlotte Ruth Odell Alderman was born in Carroll County, Indiana, in 1842. Her father crossed the plains in 1851, bringing his wife and nine children. They settled in Webfoot near Dayton, where the family grew to maturity. Charlotte attended school at Lebanon, Lafayette and Willamette University, besides her home school. She taught school in Lincoln County, and in 1866, she married Albert Lockwood Alderman. A. L. Alderman died at the home of his son near Dayton on Christmas Eve [December 24, 1908], aged 88 years. The funeral took place on Saturday, conducted by Rev. A. J. Hunsaker of this city an old-time friend and neighbor. Mr. Alderman was a Yamhill County pioneer of 1846. He was born at Old Bedford, Connecticut, December 16, 1820. The family home for most of his boyhood was near Warsaw, N.Y. He was 25 years old when he crossed the plains. His party came by way of Southern Oregon and lost their wagons in the Rogue River. Percy H. Alcock, a well-known San Carlos resident of 24 years, died yesterday [September 19, 1967] in San Francisco after a short illness. He and his wife, Augusta, have lived at 729 Elm Street. Mr. Alcock was born in Grantham, England, and came to the United States in 1910, residing in Long Island, New York. He was a veteran of World War I and during his lifetime was a public accountant and worked also as a cost accountant for an advertising agency.
