6. ANDREW7 COMINGS (Samuel6-5, John4-3-2, Isaac1) b. Oct. 9, 1776. Worked in his father’s mill from the age of fourteen till he was twenty-four, when he built a brick cottage house on a farm a mile east from his birthplace, where he spent most of his life. Beside farming, he worked at the carpenter’s trade.
1. ANDREW BAILEY lived in town several years before and after the opening of the 19th century. He m. Feb. 7, 1799, Rebecca French of Cornish, dau. of Ephraim and Comfort (York) French, b. June 17, 1776. No dates of their death have been found. Their children were: i. ISAAC MITCHELL, b. July 29, 1801;
2. ANDREW BAILEY, b. April 12, 1805, in Cornish (?), was the son of Andrew and Rebecca (French) Bailey. Lived several years in Northfield, Vt.; m. -, Hannah M. Lewis of Cabot, Vt., b. Aug. 11, 1819, and d. Jan. 18, 1893. She was dau. of Samuel and Hannah (Moody) Lewis. They came to Cornish
ALFRED CHASE3 CHADBOURNE (Benjamin,) was b. Feb. 21, 1832; m. Dec. 24, 1861, Elizabeth C. Deming of Cornish, dau. of Judah and Caroline (Jackson) Deming, b. Oct. 12, 1829, and d. Jan. 2, 1900. A farmer and lived in the north part of the town. He d. June 27, 1891. Children, all b. in town:
ALEXANDER BARKER was b. in Scotland June 1, 1814. The date of his coming to America is unknown. He was a flax-dresser and farmer; m. -, Elizabeth Mercer of Cornish, dau. of William and Elizabeth Mercer, b. , 1810, and d. in 1896. He d. in Cornish Oct. 9, 1893. Their children, all b. in

NATHANIEL6CHURCHILL, youngest brother of Lewis6, was b. May 13, 1784, and lived in Grantham (now Cornish). He m. a sister of Tristam Hardy. Had one child, Alice, b. in Cornish, Aug. 5, 1808. He was killed by being thrown from a horse while crossing a brook Jan. 4, 1808, but the gravestone record says he

6. MERRILL3 COBURN (Richard2, Merrill1) was b. Feb. 12. 1820, a twin brother of Mitchell; m. Nov. 9. 1847, Susan S. Fellows of Cornish, dau. of John and Temperance (York) Fellows, b. Aug. 14, 1821, and d. March 12, 1905, in Reading, Vt. He d. July 5, 1882. Children: i. A child, b. and d.
2. LEVI7 COBB (Ebenezer6-5-4-3, John2, Henry1) b. March 12, 1795; m. Jan. 2, 1823, Calista S. Bugbee of Woodstock, Vt.. b. March 12, 1801, and d. Jan. 3, 1861. He d. April 14, 1840, aged 45. A farmer and spent his life on the homestead of his father. Children, all b. in Cornish: i. LIVONA
