During this period, more than 100,000 individuals were buried there, including many early and recent general authorities of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and their families. Information contained in this index includes name of deceased, birth date, birthplace, death date, death place, burial, and burial plot number. Note: all of this information may not be provided for each individual.

Cemetery records can be great sources of death and non-death information. Death information contained in cemetery records may include place and date of death and burial date. Non-death information may include birth and relationship information or a few biographical details. Remember that the information found on a gravestone is only as good as the knowledge of the person who reported the information to the tombstone maker and may not be entirely accurate. You may use information gathered from cemetery records to verify and supplement information already known as well as to lead you to new records to further your family history research.
