The East Lynn, Illinois Cemetery was organized in 1871, and contains records of births, some marriages, and deaths from 1871-1989. East Lynn Cemetery is located approximately five miles west of Hoopeston, Vermilion Co., Illinois on Route 9. At the East Lynn Road, turn south for a quarter of a mile. The cemetery is on the west side. Many families in this cemetery are among the early pioneers living around the town of East Lynn, Illinois and early settlers of Vermilion County, Illinois. There are approximately 735 burials.

The Rankin Illinois Union Cemetery, which was organized in 1874, is located a mile north of Rankin, Illinois on Route 49 and a mile east at the first road. Some of the earliest settlers of Rankin can be found buried in Union Cemetery along with some that were just passing through, but died, or were young and were unable to travel further. Births, marriages, deaths, and some military service can be found on the stones at this cemetery. Every once in a while a list of children can also be found on a tombstone. The dates are from 1874 to 1989. There are approximately 1,260 names in this cemetery.
