This volume contains abstracts of all 5,000 marriage bonds issued in Mecklenburg County between 1783 and 1868. The data are arranged throughout in alphabetical order by the surname of the groom, and each entry supplies the name of the bride-to-be, the date of the marriage bond, and the names of ministers, witnesses, and bondsmen.
