About Colonial and Revolutionary families of Pennsylvania : genealogical and personal memoirs

First settled by Dutch traders, Pennsylvania was chartered to William Penn in 1681. During the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, many important and prominent families established themselves in the colony. This database, originally published as three volumes in 1911, is a collection of genealogical records regarding these early families. It includes biographical sketches of family members, vital records of births, marriages, and deaths, and accomplishments of the family as a whole. Records span from the families' first arrival in the colony through 1911. For researchers of early Pennsylvania ancestors, this can be a source of detailed and helpful information.
